“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 12: 11
Not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should always be willing to do work for the Lord and with zeal we must unite with the church and be as those who work.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should glorify God with rejoicing every day in the morning and in the evening, filled with the truthful word of God glorifying the Lord and overcome the enemy.
Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 17: 22 And David left his supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers.
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned words, David came to see his brothers when along with the people of Israel and the Philistines had drawn up prepared in battle array, army against army. He left his supplies in the hand of the supply keeper, ran to the army, and came and greeted his brothers. Then as he talked with them, there was the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, coming up from the armies of the Philistines; and he spoke according to the same words. So David heard them.
Then, in 1 Samuel 17: 25 So the men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who has come up? Surely he has come up to defy Israel; and it shall be that the man who kills him the king will enrich with great riches, will give him his daughter, and give his father’s house exemption from taxes in Israel.” When David heard the above-mentioned words then in 1 Samuel 17: 26 Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” When David said in this manner, then the people in 1 Samuel 17: 27 And the people answered him in this manner, saying, “So shall it be done for the man who kills him.”
The people said the above-mentioned words to David. Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, and he said, “Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.” And David said, “What have I done now? Is there not a cause?” Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these people answered him as the first ones did. Now when the words which David spoke were heard, they reported them to Saul; and he sent for him.
My dear people, David who is anointed by the Lord means God is showing as a pattern regarding our souls. Also, whatever job we may be in we should be as those who have close contact with the church of God. Also, in the worship of the church as those filled with the Spirit along with glorifying God, the Lord is also fighting with the enemies. Therefore, also the soul who is anointed by the Lord should unite with Christ and to do his work will always be willing in the Spirit, it will not allow us any time to be still. That is how David was and we can know this.
In this manner, each one of us who are reading these facts should be willing in the work of the Lord and in any circumstance should not fear the enemy but should be bold and fight against the enemies and overcome the enemies. In this manner, to do the work of the Lord let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
