“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 18: 50
Great deliverance He gives to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed, to David and his descendants forevermore.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should be careful so that the blessing that we have received from the Lord is not taken from us and we must safeguard it.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be as those chosen by God and be made holy completely in our spirit, soul and body and we must receive the anointing from the Lord and we must be as those who are filled with the Spirit of the Lord.
Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 16: 14 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him.
When we meditate upon the word of God that is mentioned above, God used Samuel and anointed David and then the Spirit of the Lord came upon David and we meditated regarding this. After that, the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul.
My dear people, if we will not do the will of the Lord, then the Lord will not dwell within us also and we must think about this. Also, because the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled Saul and Saul’s servants said to him, “Surely, a distressing spirit from God is troubling you. Let our master now command your servants, who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. And it shall be that he will play it with his hand when the distressing spirit from God is upon you, and you shall be well.” So Saul said to his servants, “Provide me now a man who can play well and bring him to me.”
Then, in 1 Samuel 16: 18 Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skilful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”
In the above-mentioned words, regarding David the servant of Saul told Saul and in 1 Samuel 16: 19 Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, “Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.” Then Jesse, in 1 Samuel 16: 20 And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a young goat, and sent them by his son David to Saul. So David came to Saul and stood before him. And he loved him greatly, and he became his armorbearer. Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favour in my sight.” And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.
My dear people, when we meditate upon this God is sending a distressing spirit upon those who do not obey. That distressing spirit will make our life distressed. Not only that the blessing that is in us is being given to another person. God is showing us this by using Saul and David as a pattern. We can see that the healing of this same Saul is coming through David and God is creating an opportunity for that. This is because first he is anointing Saul as the king of Israel and because he did not safeguard it properly immediately God is anointing David using Samuel and then he is making Saul refreshed and well using David. In the same manner, if we are not truthful before the Lord the anointing in us will be changed and will be given to someone else. Therefore, we must all be careful and submit ourselves so that we do not lose the blessing and safeguard the blessing that the Lord has given us.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
