“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 23: 5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should be as those chosen by God and as those who receive his anointing.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be made holy in our spirit, soul and body and we must receive the anointing of the King from the Lord.

As an example for that next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 16: 6 - 13 So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!”

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

So Jesse called Abinadab and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.”

Then Jesse made Shammah pass by. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.”

Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.”

And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.” And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here.”

So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!”

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

In the above-mentioned verses, according to what God had told Samuel and sent him he called all the elders for the sacrifice and the feast. So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the Lord’s anointed is before Him!” But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” So Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.”  Then Jesse made Shammah pass by. And he said, “Neither has the Lord chosen this one.”  Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before Samuel. And Samuel said to Jesse, “The Lord has not chosen these.”  And Samuel said to Jesse, “Are all the young men here?” Then he said, “There remains yet the youngest, and there he is, keeping the sheep.” And Samuel said to Jesse, “Send and bring him. For we will not sit down till he comes here.”  So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!”  Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses we can understand that God is not a person who looks at the face of a man but he looks at our heart well, tests it and anoints us. Also, God is anointing the Christ who is in us means that our soul should attain life through Christ and when it is safeguarded in holiness only God will anoint us and the spirit of God will descend upon us and there is no change in this. Also, God, his thoughts that is, those he wants to anoint till he anoints them he will not be still.

Therefore, my dear people the things that we must receive in these days let us make ourselves holy and submit ourselves to receive them.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
