“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

1 Peter 2: 9

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should be made holy in our spirit, soul and body and we must receive the anointing of the King from the Lord – as a pattern.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church in our journey of faith by the deeds of Amalekites we should not lose the eternal life and should safeguard it.

Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 16: 1 - 4 Now the Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”

And Samuel said, “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” But the Lord said, “Take a heifer with you, and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do; you shall anoint for Me the one I name to you.”

So Samuel did what the Lord said and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, “Do you come peaceably?”

In the above-mentioned verses what is being said is that when Samuel was mourning for Saul, God saw that and asked Samuel “How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons.”

My dear people, all these God has kept as a pattern for us and we must know that. That is, Jesse or his sons while they did not know that God is going to choose them, God is telling Samuel that I am chosen Jesse’s sons. In this manner only without our knowledge God would have chosen and kept us and this is sure.

Also, when God told Samuel to go to Jesse’s house, Samuel said that “How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” But the Lord said, “Take a heifer with you, and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’ Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do; you shall anoint for Me the one I name to you.” So Samuel did what the Lord said and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, “Do you come peaceably?” And he said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” In this manner, Samuel is doing just as the Lord told him.

My dear people, this anointing is the anointing of the king. This, when we make ourselves holy, it is a gift that God gives us. This gift we must surely receive it. When we are made holy by the Lord, without us knowing beforehand itself in a time when we don’t realize God will anoint us and there is no doubt in this. Let us submit ourselves to receive such kind of experience.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
