“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Mark 12: 30
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should accept the Lord as our God wholeheartedly with our whole mind, whole heart, whole soul and we must live by following Him.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church in our soul should always be as those who will obey God. But Saul, as a king because he did some things pleasing to the Lord so in his days God was doing good and regarding this we meditated in the past few days. But in the matter regarding the Amalekites because he did not do what the Lord had said he did not obey the Lord and because of this God rejected him and pushed him away so that he would not be the king of Israel and Samuel revealed this to Saul and we meditated regarding this.
Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 15: 24 - 31 Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.
Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord.”
But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.”
And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore.
So Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbour of yours, who is better than you.
And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.”
Then he said, “I have sinned; yet honour me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.”
So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord.
In the above-mentioned words, because Samuel told Saul what the Lord had said, Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words and the reason for that was he is saying that he feared the people. In this manner, we also many of us do not fear the Lord but fear people and we disregard the commandment of the Lord and we do not listen to his words. At this time also, those who are reading this my dear people of God whom should we fear? Whom should we obey? And we must realize this that he rejected and pushed away Saul so that we are not rejected and pushed away by God like Saul, our Christ though he was the Son of God, he was obedient to God in everything and he humbled himself and we must all realize this and we must enter into a new spiritual life.
But we see that Saul is asking for forgiveness. That is, he is asking Samuel please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord. But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.” And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. So Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbour of yours, who is better than you. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.” Then Saul said “I have sinned; yet honor me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.” So Samuel turned back after Saul, and Saul worshiped the Lord.
But when we see in this place Saul is telling Samuel the Lord your God in few places but he is not telling my God any time and we come to know that he is not accepting him wholeheartedly. In this manner God even though he chooses us, we think we have to please men and we think that things have to take place and for that only we search God but we will not search him with our whole soul. That is why, our God for us to search God with our whole soul in our soul, our thoughts he arises as a new creation (Christ). Those who have such a beginning will have a thought that they should always obey God. Not only that they will accept God as their Lord. They will receive forgiveness for the sins that they have done from the Lord. Also, spiritually they will be growing every day. In this manner, let us submit ourselves to accept the Lord as our personal Saviour.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
