“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 25: 21
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, for I wait for You.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should always be truthful before God.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be careful so that our soul is not killed, and we must safeguard it carefully and we meditated regarding this.
Also, the pattern regarding this, God is showing us through the son of Saul, Jonathan and is explaining it to us. Also, because they broke the law of the Lord, they could not defeat the Philistines completely and we can see that. When we analyse these facts, if we also leave the laws of the Lord in our life also the thoughts of the Philistines like desires of the world, such kind of thoughts will not go away completely and we must see and realize that and we must not leave the laws of the Lord but follow them and we must receive the growth of our soul.
Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 14: 46 - 52 Then Saul returned from pursuing the Philistines, and the Philistines went to their own place.
So Saul established his sovereignty over Israel, and fought against all his enemies on every side, against Moab, against the people of Ammon, against Edom, against the kings of Zobah, and against the Philistines. Wherever he turned, he harassed them.
And he gathered an army and attacked the Amalekites and delivered Israel from the hands of those who plundered them.
The sons of Saul were Jonathan, Jishui, and Malchishua. And the names of his two daughters were these: the name of the firstborn Merab, and the name of the younger Michal.
The name of Saul’s wife was Ahinoam the daughter of Ahimaaz. And the name of the commander of his army was Abner the son of Ner, Saul’s uncle.
Kish was the father of Saul, and Ner the father of Abner was the son of Abiel.
Now there was fierce war with the Philistines all the days of Saul. And when Saul saw any strong man or any valiant man, he took him for himself.
The above-mentioned words are that due to the reason of Jonathan, Saul did not pursue the Philistines and returned back.
My dear people, when the Lord anointed Saul as king we see that he is giving him a big thing in his hands. But till he obeyed God, he is using him and doing great things. We, also if we are anointed by God we must always be truthful to God. When we read this chapter, Saul is fearing God and is truthful to God. Also, he had the grace to gather for himself those who were strong and valiant. When he was truthful, God was with him. In the same way, till we also are truthful God will be with us and will chase the Gentiles. He will make us holy and bless us. Let us submit ourselves in this manner.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
