“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

John 17: 16

They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

If we, the bride, the church leave the desires of the world and the lustful pleasures we have salvation.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that if we, the bride, the church put on humbleness, then grace will increase, and we can live in holiness.

Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 14: 16 - 23 Now the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked, and there was the multitude, melting away; and they went here and there.

Then Saul said to the people who were with him, “Now call the roll and see who has gone from us.” And when they had called the roll, surprisingly, Jonathan and his armorbearer were not there.

And Saul said to Ahijah, “Bring the ark of God here” (for at that time the ark of God was with the children of Israel).

Now it happened, while Saul talked to the priest, that the noise which was in the camp of the Philistines continued to increase; so Saul said to the priest, “Withdraw your hand.”

Then Saul and all the people who were with him assembled, and they went to the battle; and indeed every man’s sword was against his neighbour, and there was very great confusion.

Moreover the Hebrews who were with the Philistines before that time, who went up with them into the camp from the surrounding country, they also joined the Israelites who were with Saul and Jonathan.

Likewise all the men of Israel who had hidden in the mountains of Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, they also followed hard after them in the battle.

So the Lord saved Israel that day, and the battle shifted to Beth Aven.

In what is mentioned above, the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin saw the Philistines being slaughtered. Now it happened, while Saul talked to the priest, that the noise which was in the camp of the Philistines continued to increase; so Saul said to the priest, “Withdraw your hand.” Then Saul and all the people who were with him assembled, and they went to the battle; and indeed every man’s sword was against his neighbour, and there was very great confusion.

My dear people, this salvation shows that we must be delivered from the worldly pleasures that are there in our soul and we must receive the salvation and that is what God is showing us as a pattern. Also, whoever’s soul puts on humbleness they can receive deliverance from the pleasures of this world. Also, every soul and its life are being crushed by the desires of the world, lustful pleasures. In this manner, from being crushed to be delivered we must put on Christ (humbleness).

Also, when we see the facts regarding the above-mentioned verses there are many worldly pleasures which are enjoyable in life. But firstly when we overcome certain important things by the word of Christ, all the rest will leave us on its own and this is certain and we must realize that. In this manner, we must leave the desires of the world, lusts which are pleasures and let us submit ourselves to accept our Lord Jesus as our saviour.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
