“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
James 4: 6
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
If we, the bride, the church put on humbleness, then grace will increase, and we can live in holiness.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church according to the faith of our heart should unite to the laws of the Lord and for that we should be delivered from the deeds of the Philistines.
Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 14: 7 - 14 So his armorbearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Go then; here I am with you, according to your heart.”
Then Jonathan said, “Very well, let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them.
If they say thus to us, ‘Wait until we come to you,’ then we will stand still in our place and not go up to them.
But if they say thus, ‘Come up to us,’ then we will go up. For the Lord has delivered them into our hand, and this will be a sign to us.”
So both of them showed themselves to the garrison of the Philistines. And the Philistines said, “Look, the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have hidden.”
Then the men of the garrison called to Jonathan and his armour bearer, and said, “Come up to us, and we will show you something.” Jonathan said to his armour bearer, “Come up after me, for the Lord has delivered them into the hand of Israel.”
And Jonathan climbed up on his hands and knees with his armour bearer after him; and they fell before Jonathan. And as he came after him, his armour bearer killed them.
That first slaughter which Jonathan and his armour bearer made was about twenty men within about half an acre of land.
According to the above-mentioned words, when Jonathan got ready for war with his armour bearer, he said that let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them. If they say thus to us, ‘Wait until we come to you,’ then we will stand still in our place and not go up to them. But if they say thus, ‘Come up to us,’ then we will go up. For the Lord has delivered them into our hand, and this will be a sign to us.” So both of them showed themselves to the garrison of the Philistines. And the Philistines said, “Look, the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have hidden.” Then the men of the garrison called to Jonathan and his armour bearer, and said, “Come up to us, and we will show you something.” Jonathan said to his armour bearer, “Come up after me, for the Lord has delivered them into the hand of Israel.” And Jonathan climbed up on his hands and knees with his armour bearer after him; and they fell before Jonathan. And as he came after him, his armour bearer killed them. That first slaughter which Jonathan and his armour bearer made was about twenty men within about half an acre of land.
Also, in 1 Samuel 14: 15 And there was trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. The garrison and the raiders also trembled; and the earth quaked, so that it was a very great trembling.
According to what is mentioned above among the Philistines there was trembling in the camp sent by God.
My dear people, there was great pride among the Philistines. But Jonathan very humbly when he climbed on his hands and feet in front the Philistine is falling and dying. The armour bearer is slaughtering him with his weapon. From this what we come to know is that when we put on humbleness because grace increases in us the wicked Philistine is destroyed and by the word of God he is being slaughtered. Then in our soul big changes will take place. In this manner, there will be the holiness of heaven to be there in our soul. In this manner, let us submit ourselves also.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
