“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 44: 26
Arise for our help, and redeem us for Your mercies’ sake.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
In us, the bride, the church only the Lord alone should be exalted.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that God reveals his words to us, the bride, the church and reveals himself also to us.
Next what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 4: 1, 2 And the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out to battle against the Philistines and encamped beside Ebenezer; and the Philistines encamped in Aphek.
Then the Philistines put themselves in battle array against Israel. And when they joined battle, Israel was defeated by the Philistines, who killed about four thousand men of the army in the field.
In the above-mentioned words, Samuel grew up, and God is revealing himself to Samuel by vision and his words. In this manner the word of Samuel came to all Israel.
My dear people, when we see here we see that war is beginning. That is, the word of Samuel came to Israel but the Israelites became prepared to fight with Philistines. From this we come to know that God is making the heart of the Israelites as a battle ground and in the beginning as soon as attain the salvation of our soul God is getting down into war with the Philistines and this Philistine is the evil characters in our soul and the deeds of the Philistines if they are in our soul then to remove them is the aim that God has kept upon us. For this, God is showing this as a pattern.
That is, in Isaiah 2: 6 – 11 For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with eastern ways; They are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they are pleased with the children of foreigners.
Their land is also full of silver and gold, and there is no end to their treasures; Their land is also full of horses, and there is no end to their chariots.
Their land is also full of idols; They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.
People bow down, and each man humbles himself; Therefore do not forgive them.
Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.
The above-mentioned verses are the deeds of the Philistines. Therefore till the Lord destroys and finishes those deeds he fights within us and the lofty looks of man shall be humbled and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. But when we read here among the Israelites around four thousand men of the army were killed. The reason for this is that they did not have the ark of the Lord with them. Therefore they are being defeated and this is manifested to us.
Therefore, my dear people if the word of the Lord does not manifest in us we cannot overcome the Gentiles. In this manner within us, the word of God which is the truth if it is in us, then God will destroy completely the deeds of the Gentiles in us and only the Lord will be exalted in us. In this manner let us submit ourselves for only God to be exalted in us.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
