“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 84: 10
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
God reveals his words to us, the bride, the church and reveals himself also to us.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church and our families should not leave the path of the Lord, but we should walk in it.
Next, what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 3: 1 – 10 Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation.
And it came to pass at that time, while Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see,
and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down,
that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered, “Here I am!”
So he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” And he said, “I did not call; lie down again.” And he went and lay down.
Then the Lord called yet again, “Samuel!” So Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you called me.” He answered, “I did not call, my son; lie down again.”
(Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, nor was the word of the Lord yet revealed to him.)
And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy.
Therefore Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down; and it shall be, if He calls you, that you must say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
Now the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.”
When we meditate upon the facts of the above-mentioned verses, now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation. Samuel is being said as a pattern of the salvation of the soul of Hannah. This, in the life of each and every one of us he is showing how the strength of our soul should be. One day Eli was lying down in his place, and when his eyes had begun to grow so dim that he could not see, and before the lamp of God went out in the tabernacle of the Lord where the ark of God was, and while Samuel was lying down, that the Lord called Samuel. And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.”
Then God tells Samuel in 1 Samuel 3: 11 – 14 Then the Lord said to Samuel: “Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.
In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end.
For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.
And therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, God is telling that what he is going to do in Israel and that will be heard by both ears of everyone in Israel and he who hears it will tingle and everything that he said against the family of Eli and will perform it and he is the God that will begin it and continue till the end and that he has told him that he will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them. And therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.
In this manner, in our ears this thing should be tingling. We must escape from such kind of judgement. So Samuel lay down until morning listening to what God was speaking regarding the family of Eli and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel was afraid to tell Eli the vision. Then Eli, in 1 Samuel 3: 16 – 21 Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son!” He answered, “Here I am.”
And he said, “What is the word that the Lord spoke to you? Please do not hide it from me. God do so to you, and more also, if you hide anything from me of all the things that He said to you.”
Then Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “It is the Lord. Let Him do what seems good to Him.”
So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.
And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel had been established as a prophet of the Lord.
Then the Lord appeared again in Shiloh. For the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, Eli knew the vision that God had given Samuel and when he is forcing him to tell it, Samuel did not hide anything and told everything to Eli. Then Eli said that “It is the Lord. Let Him do what seems good to Him.” So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel had been established as a prophet of the Lord. Then the Lord appeared again in Shiloh. For the Lord revealed Himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.
My dear people, God is showing here that God does not change what he thinks and he is the one who leads us and completes it and if we walk truthfully and straight forwardly God will talk to us from our childhood itself. But we must fear God and dwell in the presence of the Lord from our small age and listen to what he speaks. That is, Samuel is scared to tell Eli, the priest regarding the vision that he had seen. In this manner, our soul in the presence of the Lord should be with holiness, and fear and should grow in the Lord. If we keep these things in fact, then he will not allow even one of his words to fall to the ground. In this manner, we each and every day if we will renew ourselves then he will fill us with prophecies. That prophecy is only that Christ is working in our soul. In this manner, he in our soul gives his words and he reveals himself to us. We will be blessed. Let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
