“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 57: 3 He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We, the bride, the church should humble ourselves and submit ourselves to the Lord and should possess salvation.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be as those who rejoice in the Lord always.
Next, what we are meditating is that 1 Samuel 1: 7 – 10 So it was, year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, that she provoked her; therefore she wept and did not eat.
Then Elkanah her husband said to her, “Hannah, why do you weep? Why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”
So Hannah arose after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the Lord.
And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish.
In the above-mentioned verses, because Hannah had the love of the world, we see that God stopped her salvation and kept it. Also, her rival also provoked her severely, to make her miserable. Whenever she went to the house of the Lord, because he would give a double portion every year Peninnah would make her miserable. Therefore she will not eat and would be weeping. Then Elkanah her husband said to her, “Hannah, why do you weep? Why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?” So after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh, Hannah arose. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the Lord. And she was in bitterness of soul and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish.
1 Samuel 1: 11 – 14 Then she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”
And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth.
Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk.
So Eli said to her, “How long will you be drunk? Put your wine away from you!”
According to the above-mentioned verses, she is submitting herself to the Lord. That is, she made a vow and said, “O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.”
My dear people, for our salvation we must wait like Hannah and receive it. If the world is loving us means that salvation is being delayed. But God, who knows our soul, till we receive a complete salvation from God, he crushes in many ways and makes us miserable. This is what happened in the life of Hannah also. God is showing us this as a pattern. Also, what is said that Peninnah bore sons and daughters shows the worldly church. But for Hannah because of the reason that she did not have children, in her life till she did not consider the world as a thing, God is breaking her soul. He breaks it in this manner, and he manifests a life within her. The reason for the life to be manifested was that house of the Lord and priest means that it is a pattern of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, the love of the world will never save us. Only heaven can save us. Therefore we must humble ourselves, and take a vow saying that look upon me, and grant a salvation to my soul and that all my life is for you and I am submitting in this manner and if we pray in this manner, God will grant us salvation. We will be blessed. Let us submit ourselves in this manner.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
