“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

1 Peter 2: 1 - 3 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 

as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 

if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

All our, the bride, the church’s malice should be removed.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we must be as those who work things which are according to peace in our soul.

Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 20: 22 – 24 And the people, that is, the men of Israel, encouraged themselves and again formed the battle line at the place where they had put themselves in array on the first day. 

Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the Lord until evening, and asked counsel of the Lord, saying, “Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?” And the Lord said, “Go up against him.”

So the children of Israel approached the children of Benjamin on the second day.

According to the above-mentioned verses, in the fight among the children of Israel and the Benjaminite’s, the children of Israel, the Benjaminite’s won. According to that the second time the men of Israel, encouraged themselves and again formed the battle line at the place where they had put themselves in array on the first day. Then the children of Israel went up and wept before the Lord until evening, and asked counsel of the Lord, saying, “Shall I again draw near for battle against the children of my brother Benjamin?” And the Lord said, “Go up against him.” So the children of Israel approached the children of Benjamin on the second day. 

Then in Judges 20: 25 And Benjamin went out against them from Gibeah on the second day and cut down to the ground eighteen thousand more of the children of Israel; all these drew the sword.

According to what is said in these verses, the children of Benjamin cut down to the ground eighteen thousand more of the children of Israel; all these drew the sword. Then in Judges 20: 26 – 28 Then all the children of Israel, that is, all the people, went up and came to the house of God and wept. They sat there before the Lord and fasted that day until evening; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord. 

So the children of Israel inquired of the Lord (the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days, 

and Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying, “Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of my brother Benjamin, or shall I cease?” And the Lord said, “Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver them into your hand.”

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, the third time the children of Israel to enquire of the Lord came to the house of God and wept. They sat there before the Lord and fasted that day until evening; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord. So the children of Israel inquired of the Lord (the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days, and Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying, “Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of my brother Benjamin, or shall I cease?” And the Lord said, “Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver them into your hand.”

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, we see that God is destroying the evil deeds of the children of Israel using the children of Benjamin and also when the children of Israel offered the burnt offerings and peace offerings that they had to we read that they are destroying the Benjaminite’s. How this happens is that the deeds of our soul God is making them as one thought about Christ. That is, the first time they are being destroyed by the Israelites and are falling to the ground. The second time when they enquire of the Lord, he is telling them to go against the Benjaminite’s. But the Israelites are being destroyed. The reason for that is they did not offer the sacrifice that they were supposed to and just like the previous time they stood in the same place in the battle line. But they did not have any reconciliation with God. That is, they did not offer the sacrifice that they had to. Therefore God is telling them to go against the Benjaminite’s. But they were destroyed. This is because the wisdom of God cannot be measured. In this manner only we also think wrongly about the words of prophecy that God speaks to us and blame God and become responsible for next sin and we are being judged to punishment. Also, the third time they cried to the Lord, fasted and offered sacrifices and because they safeguarded the words of the Lord when the Israelites enquired, he is saying that tomorrow I will deliver the Benjaminite’s into your hand. 

In this manner let us remove all our dirt and malice and to cleanse us our Lord Jesus is manifested as true and righteous. In this manner, let us submit ourselves to be cleansed.
