“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

John 13: 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

In the journey of our faith, the bride, the church if we will backslide we must be renewed again by the word of God, wash our feet, eat bread and in happiness we must worship the Lord – as a pattern.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that our soul, the bride, the church should not backslide and for that we must be careful.

Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 19: 14 – 16 And they passed by and went their way; and the sun went down on them near Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin.

They turned aside there to go in to lodge in Gibeah. And when he went in, he sat down in the open square of the city, for no one would take them into his house to spend the night.

Just then an old man came in from his work in the field at evening, who also was from the mountains of Ephraim; he was staying in Gibeah, whereas the men of the place were Benjamites.

That man, the Levite in the journey along with his concubine and servants went their way; and the sun went down on them near Gibeah, which belongs to Benjamin. What this signifies is that in our spiritual life, when a backsliding life comes our brightness becomes dim and he is showing this as a pattern.

That old man, in Judges 19: 17 – 21 And when he raised his eyes, he saw the traveller in the open square of the city; and the old man said, “Where are you going, and where do you come from?”

So he said to him, “We are passing from Bethlehem in Judah toward the remote mountains of Ephraim; I am from there. I went to Bethlehem in Judah; now I am going to the house of the Lord. But there is no one who will take me into his house,

although we have both straw and fodder for our donkeys, and bread and wine for myself, for your female servant, and for the young man who is with your servant; there is no lack of anything.”

And the old man said, “Peace be with you! However, let all your needs be my responsibility; only do not spend the night in the open square.”

So he brought him into his house and gave fodder to the donkeys. And they washed their feet and ate and drank.

According to the above-mentioned verses, after both of them had finished speaking the old man said, “Peace be with you! However, let all your needs be my responsibility; only do not spend the night in the open square.” So he brought him into his house and gave fodder to the donkeys. And they washed their feet and ate and drank.

The facts regarding the above-mentioned verses is that those who have backslid in their spiritual lives are as people who are not in the house but are in the open square. If we are in this manner in the open square God is sending his servants and is accepting us into his house. Along with the pattern regarding this, God is showing us the way how he is leading the church. But he is having the straw and fodder for the donkeys and bread and wine for myself, for your female servant, and for the young man who is with your servant; there is no lack of anything. When he said this, the old man said, “Peace be with you! However, let all your needs be my responsibility.

My dear people, in the church, which is our journey of faith in the church worship we must wash the feet and be as those who eat bread. In this manner, in our lives if there are those backsliding in this manner we must again follow the word of God, receive peace and wash feet among ourselves and as a fellowship of the body of Christ we must eat bread and as a fellowship of his blood we must drink wine and to rejoice we must all submit ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
