“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 116: 13 I will take up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

We, the bride, the church should be careful so that we are not being made captive by the spirit of harlotry.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be careful so that we are not under the bondage of the idol worship.

Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 18: 22 – 31 When they were a good way from the house of Micah, the men who were in the houses near Micah’s house gathered together and overtook the children of Dan.

And they called out to the children of Dan. So they turned around and said to Micah, “What ails you, that you have gathered such a company?”

So he said, “You have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and you have gone away. Now what more do I have? How can you say to me, ‘What ails you?’”

And the children of Dan said to him, “Do not let your voice be heard among us, lest angry men fall upon you, and you lose your life, with the lives of your household!”

Then the children of Dan went their way. And when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his house.

So they took the things Micah had made, and the priest who had belonged to him, and went to Laish, to a people quiet and secure; and they struck them with the edge of the sword and burned the city with fire.

There was no deliverer, because it was far from Sidon, and they had no ties with anyone. It was in the valley that belongs to Beth Rehob. So they rebuilt the city and dwelt there.

And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel. However, the name of the city formerly was Laish.

Then the children of Dan set up for themselves the carved image; and Jonathan the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land.

So they set up for themselves Micah’s carved image which he made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh.

According to the above-mentioned verses, the children of Dan departed with their little ones, livestock and goods. When they departed in this manner and left, when they were a good way from the house of Micah, the men who were in the houses near Micah’s house gathered together and overtook the children of Dan. And they called out to the children of Dan. So they turned around and said to Micah, “What ails you, that you have gathered such a company?” Then Micah in Judges 18: 24 So he said, “You have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and you have gone away. Now what more do I have? How can you say to me, ‘What ails you?’”

For that the children of Dan in Judges 18: 25 And the children of Dan said to him, “Do not let your voice be heard among us, lest angry men fall upon you, and you lose your life, with the lives of your household!”

Then when Micah saw that the children of Dan were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his house. But the children of Dan in Judges 18: 27 – 29 So they took the things Micah had made, and the priest who had belonged to him, and went to Laish, to a people quiet and secure; and they struck them with the edge of the sword and burned the city with fire.

According to the above-mentioned verses, we see that for the city of Laish the name Dan has been put. In that place, the children of Dan set up for themselves the carved image that they brought from Micah’s house and Jonathan the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land. So they set up for themselves Micah’s carved image which he made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh.

My dear people, when we see the tribe of Dan becoming captive, the reason they are becoming captive is because there was the carved image that they brought from Micah’s house. If such kind of carved image is there we can understand that we are not serving God truthfully. What this is showing as a pattern is that in our life, no kind of idols should be there. If we submit ourselves for such kind of deeds, then it is said that the spirit of harlotry is dwelling in us. Regarding Dan, what God is telling is that Genesis 49: 17, 18 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, a viper by the path, that bites the horse’s heels so that its rider shall fall backward.

I have waited for your salvation, O Lord!

According to the above-mentioned verses, within them there will be deeds like serpent. Also, against the growth of the soul, the deeds of the world, the enemy will arise. When they arise in this manner in all the spiritual life’s holiness we will go in a crooked path and we will do things which do not please God. Therefore, we must wait on the Lord and inherit the salvation. Therefore, the brothers gathered together and worshipped God and they are coming forward to walk according to what the priest says. But they are keeping the idols and carved images within themselves. Till the temple of God was in Shiloh, they had the carved images with them. In this manner because they were made captive, they were not able to inherit the land.

Also, in Deuteronomy 33: 22 And of Dan he said: “Dan is a lion’s whelp; He shall leap from Bashan.” Since it is said about Dan in this manner, to save that soul only our Lord Jesus Christ as a priest is manifesting within everyone forever.

In this manner, we must remove all the wicked carved images from us and let us submit ourselves so that Christ will manifest as the priest within us forever.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
