“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 102: 19, 20 For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven the Lord viewed the earth,

To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To release those appointed to death,

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

For the bondages of the enemy to be broken from our soul, the bride, the church the Spirit of the Lord should descend upon us. We must not be weary and for that our thirst should be quenched by the living water and we must be as those who live with him forever.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that till we destroy the deeds of the Philistines in our soul, the bride, the church God will perform his work in us.

Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 15: 9 – 17 Now the Philistines went up, encamped in Judah, and deployed themselves against Lehi.

And the men of Judah said, “Why have you come up against us?” So they answered, “We have come up to arrest Samson, to do to him as he has done to us.”

Then three thousand men of Judah went down to the cleft of the rock of Etam, and said to Samson, “Do you not know that the Philistines rule over us? What is this you have done to us?” And he said to them, “As they did to me, so I have done to them.”

But they said to him, “We have come down to arrest you, that we may deliver you into the hand of the Philistines.” Then Samson said to them, “Swear to me that you will not kill me yourselves.”

So they spoke to him, saying, “No, but we will tie you securely and deliver you into their hand; but we will surely not kill you.” And they bound him with two new ropes and brought him up from the rock.

When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting against him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands.

He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it.

Then Samson said: “With the jawbone of a donkey, Heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men!”

And so it was, when he had finished speaking, that he threw the jawbone from his hand, and called that place Ramath Lehi.

In the above-mentioned verses, after Samson had attacked the Philistines with a great slaughter, he dwelt in the cleft of the rock of Etam. Then the Philistines went up, encamped in Judah, and deployed themselves against Lehi. Then the men of Judah said, “Why have you come up against us?” What they answered is that, “We have come up to arrest Samson, to do to him as he has done to us.” Then three thousand men of Judah went down to the cleft of the rock of Etam, and said to Samson, “Do you not know that the Philistines rule over us? What is this you have done to us?” And he said to them, “As they did to me, so I have done to them.” But they said to him, “We have come down to arrest you, that we may deliver you into the hand of the Philistines.” Then Samson said to them, “Swear to me that you will not kill me yourselves.”

Then Samson said: “With the jawbone of a donkey, heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men!” And so it was, when he had finished speaking, that he threw the jawbone from his hand, and called that place Ramath Lehi.

Then he looked to the Lord in Judges 15: 18 – 20 Then he became very thirsty; so he cried out to the Lord and said, “You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant; and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?”

So God split the hollow place that is in Lehi, and water came out, and he drank; and his spirit returned, and he revived. Therefore he called its name En Hakkore, which is in Lehi to this day.

And he judged Israel twenty years in the days of the Philistines.

Then Samson became very thirsty; so he cried out to the Lord and said, “You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant; and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?” So God split the hollow place that is in Lehi, and water came out, and he drank; and his spirit returned, and he revived. Therefore he called its name En Hakkore, which is in Lehi to this day. And he judged Israel twenty years in the days of the Philistines.

My dear people, when we read the portions mentioned above, it tells us about how we should get deliverance from the spirits of the Philistines, that is lusts and how those spirits will fight against our soul but if the Spirit of the Lord descends upon us strongly all the bondages that the enemy has tied will be removed. Then we, with the strength of our soul when we worship God then the deeds of the Philistines related to that in thousands will be destroyed by Christ who dwells in us and this is shown as a pattern to us.

But if we do not become weary and if we call upon God again, God will give us through Christ so that he makes us drink the living water and quenches our thirst and makes us live with Christ. Not only are these things there in us even now, but our Lord Jesus Christ is also as one who judges us and the pattern regarding this is Samson. But he was not able to abide forever. But Christ is the one who abides forever. In this manner, let us submit ourselves to Christ so that we can escape from the spirits of the Philistines.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
