“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Hebrews 6: 8 But if it bears thorns and briers, it is rejected and near to being cursed, whose end is to be burned.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We, the bride, the church should not have any worldly positions and we must be as those yielding fruit according to Christ.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that the spiritual growths of us, the bride, the church should not become stunted and for that we should not get stuck in the deeds of the flesh and we must safeguard ourselves carefully.
Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 9: 7 Now when they told Jotham, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, that God may listen to you!
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, for the son of the concubine of Jerubbaal, Abimelech seventy shekels of silver from the temple of Baal-Berith were taken and because the hearts of the men of Shechem were inclined towards him they gave it to him. He took those shekels of silver and hired worthless and reckless men; and they followed him. Then he is killing the sons of Jerubbaal on one stone. Now when they told Jotham that the men of Shechem made him king beside the terebinth tree in Shechem, he went and stood on top of Mount Gerizim, and lifted his voice and cried out. And he said to them: “Listen to me, you men of Shechem, that God may listen to you!
What he asked was that in Judges 9: 8 – 15 “The trees once went forth to anoint a king over them. And they said to the olive tree, ‘Reign over us!’
But the olive tree said to them, ‘Should I cease giving my oil, with which they honor God and men, and go to sway over trees?’
“Then the trees said to the fig tree, ‘You come and reign over us!’
But the fig tree said to them, ‘Should I cease my sweetness and my good fruit, and go to sway over trees?’
“Then the trees said to the vine, ‘You come and reign over us!’
But the vine said to them, ‘Should I cease my new wine, which cheers both God and men, and go to sway over trees?’
“Then all the trees said to the bramble, ‘You come and reign over us!’
And the bramble said to the trees, ‘If in truth you anoint me as king over you, then come and take shelter in my shade; But if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon!’
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, olive tree, fig tree and vine these did not desire to become king and what the bramble is saying to them is that if in truth you anoint me as king over you, then come and take shelter in my shade; But if not, let fire come out of the bramble and devour the cedars of Lebanon! What God is showing these as a pattern is that our Lord Jesus Christ does not desire to reign over the people as a king and for that God is using Jotham and is explaining and showing us. Not only that but those who are saved by him should also not be positions and that he is showing us. By Christ, within us the strength that we receive in our soul is the fatness of good deeds filled with grace. Also, no kind of worldly pleasures should come within us and we are able to understand this through these words. Therefore, regarding the brambles he is saying those who have the deeds of the world, by themselves even if they are not able to give the things of heaven to the people from the wicked fire that is within them they are destroying the trees that are strengthened which are the souls. These God is explaining regarding Abimelech.
My dear people, when we meditate upon this the children of God should not be infatuated in any worldly pleasures or in the positions of those in charge but be filled by the fruits of the soul according to Christ and shine with grace. Let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
