“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 6: 21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
We, the bride, the church must be ruled by our Lord Jesus Christ.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we must safeguard our soul, the bride, the church so that the spirits of foreign worship should not work within us.
Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 8: 11 – 14 Then Gideon went up by the road of those who dwell in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah; and he attacked the army while the camp felt secure.
When Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued them; and he took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and routed the whole army.
Then Gideon the son of Joash returned from battle, from the Ascent of Heres.
And he caught a young man of the men of Succoth and interrogated him; and he wrote down for him the leaders of Succoth and its elders, seventy-seven men.
The facts regarding the above-mentioned verses is that Gideon followed Zebah and Zalmunna and their armies went up by the road of those who dwell in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah; and he attacked the army while the camp felt secure.
Then in Judges 8: 15 – 21 Then he came to the men of Succoth and said, “Here are Zebah and Zalmunna, about whom you ridiculed me, saying, ‘Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your weary men?’”
And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.
Then he tore down the tower of Penuel and killed the men of the city.
And he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, “What kind of men were they whom you killed at Tabor?” So they answered, “As you are, so were they; each one resembled the son of a king.”
Then he said, “They were my brothers, the sons of my mother. As the Lord lives, if you had let them live, I would not kill you.”
And he said to Jether his firstborn, “Rise, kill them!” But the youth would not draw his sword; for he was afraid, because he was still a youth.
So Zebah and Zalmunna said, “Rise yourself, and kill us; for as a man is, so is his strength.” So Gideon arose and killed Zebah and Zalmunna and took the crescent ornaments that were on their camels’ necks.
The above-mentioned words it is written regarding how Gideon killed Zebah and Zalmunna with the sword. He killed both of them and took the crescent ornaments that were on their camels’ necks. Because Gideon did in this manner, the Israelites told Gideon the men of Israel said to Gideon, “Rule over us, both you and your son, and your grandson also; for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian.” But Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you.”
My dear people, our Lord Jesus Christ should reign from within us. For that, God is showing us as a pattern that Gideon is killing the Midianite kings Zebah and Zalmunna. The reason for this is that at Tabor, Zebah and Zalmunna killed the brothers of Gideon, so Gideon with zeal for God he did this. That is, this is a pattern of the Israelites due to the lusts of the flesh their soul is being killed. Therefore, as long as flesh and world are in our soul, devil will rule over our soul. Therefore to destroy the deeds of the devil, the Son of man is being revealed and by the Spirit he destroys the fleshly thoughts and Christ is ruling in that place. In this manner, by Christ let us submit ourselves for God to rule us.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
