“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 16: 4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names on my lips.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

We must safeguard our soul, the bride, the church carefully so that foreign worship should not rise in us.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated regarding how we must safeguard and save our soul, the bride, the church from the Midianites.

Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 8: 1 – 10 Now the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply.

So he said to them, “What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?

God has delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And what was I able to do in comparison with you?” Then their anger toward him subsided when he said that.

When Gideon came to the Jordan, he and the three hundred men who were with him crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit.

Then he said to the men of Succoth, “Please give loaves of bread to the people who follow me, for they are exhausted, and I am pursuing Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.”

And the leaders of Succoth said, “Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?”

So Gideon said, “For this cause, when the Lord has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers!”

Then he went up from there to Penuel and spoke to them in the same way. And the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered.

So he also spoke to the men of Penuel, saying, “When I come back in peace, I will tear down this tower!”

Now Zebah and Zalmunna were at Karkor, and their armies with them, about fifteen thousand, all who were left of all the army of the people of the East; for one hundred and twenty thousand men who drew the sword had fallen.

The fact regarding the above-mentioned verses is that after God had submitted the Midianites to Gideon, the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply. So he said to them, “What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer? God has delivered into your hands the princes of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb. And what was I able to do in comparison with you?” When he said these words, their anger toward him subsided.

When Gideon came to Jordan, he and the three hundred men who were with him crossed over, exhausted but still in pursuit of the (enemy). Then he said to the men of Succoth, “Please give loaves of bread to the people who follow me, for they are exhausted, and I am pursuing Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.” And the leaders of Succoth said, “Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?” So Gideon said, “For this cause, when the Lord has delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers!” Then he went up from there to Penuel and spoke to them in the same way.

And the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered. So he also spoke to the men of Penuel, saying, “When I come back in peace, I will tear down this tower!” Now Zebah and Zalmunna were at Karkor, and their armies with them, about fifteen thousand, all who were left of all the army of the people of the East; for one hundred and twenty thousand men who drew the sword had fallen.

The reason God is showing all these as a pattern is that the deeds of the Midianites, which are the fleshly thoughts if we change some of them and if we do not change some of them then again till God drives it away completely God will be fighting. But when God chose the Israelites for war through Gideon, because he did not call Ephraim, they are getting angry upon Gideon. Then Gideon is hiding the despise and is praising them secretly. Because he praised them in this manner, the anger that they had on Gideon was removed. Also, the reason why God did not choose Ephraim is because they are a cake not turned. They are those who do not love God with their whole soul. That is, it is written that those who do not accept the complete truth will not be able to fight against the enemy.

Also, when Gideon told the men of Succoth, please give loaves of bread to the people who are exhausted, they said are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in your hand, that we should give bread to your army?  So Gideon said that when the Lord delivers them into my hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers! And this signifies that because they did not help the Israelites God will submitting them greatly into the deeds of the devil and this manifests as a pattern for this. Also, he went to Penuel and when he asked them because they also said a similar reply, Gideon is saying that when I come back in peace, I will tear down this tower!”

These things he is explaining clearly and showing us the deeds of our soul. The tower of Penuel is the foreign worship that is rising in our soul. Therefore to break all these things from within us the loaf of barley bread, who is Christ is being manifested.

My dear people, we must be careful so that foreign worship should not arise in our soul in any manner and let us submit ourselves to safeguard our soul.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
