“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Proverbs 12: 28 In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway, there is no death.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

Our heart, the bride, the church should be an altar of peace.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated the way how God is delivering and saving our soul, the bride, the church from the Midianites.

Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 6: 15 – 18 So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”

And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”

Then he said to Him, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me.

Do not depart from here, I pray, until I come to You and bring out my offering and set it before You.” And He said, “I will wait until you come back.”

That is, God is raising Gideon.  He is telling him that you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. So Gideon how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” Then he said to Him, “If now I have found favour in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who talk with me. Do not depart from here, I pray, until I come to You and bring out my offering and set it before You.  And He said, “I will wait until you come back.”

Then in Judges 6: 19 – 24 So Gideon went in and prepared a young goat, and unleavened bread from an ephah of flour. The meat he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot; and he brought them out to Him under the terebinth tree and presented them.

The Angel of God said to him, “Take the meat and the unleavened bread and lay them on this rock and pour out the broth.” And he did so.

Then the Angel of the Lord put out the end of the staff that was in His hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened bread; and fire rose out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread. And the Angel of the Lord departed out of his sight.

Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord. So Gideon said, “Alas, O Lord God! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.”

Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.”

So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

According to the above-mentioned verses, Gideon brought it and presented it to them. Then the Angel of the Lord put out the end of the staff that was in His hand and touched the meat and the unleavened bread; and fire rose out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened bread. And the Angel of the Lord departed out of his sight.

Now Gideon perceived that He was the Angel of the Lord and said, “Alas, O Lord God! For I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face.” Then the Lord said, “Peace be with you; do not fear, you shall not die.” So Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and called it The-Lord-Is-Peace. To this day it is still in Ophrah of the Abiezrites.

My dear people, because the Angel of the Lord told Gideon that you will defeat the Midianites, he is asking God for a sign to know if he is God. For that we see that he is showing a sign. The reason for this is that he had less hope within him. In this manner only many among us do not realize that God is talking to us, and we live without hope on him. Also, many times we are asking God for a sign. But even if God gives us a sign, we leave it carelessly and we live without any realization. The reason for this is the hardening of our heart and we can realize this.

But Gideon sees the sign: and calls Alas O Lord God! Also, he is telling that I have seen the Angel of the Lord face to face. Then the Lord said to him, “Peace be with you; you shall not die. The reason is that with the end of his staff he accepted the offering that he had kept. That is, unleavened bread and meat. These God is showing as a pattern to our Lord Jesus’s body. That is, it is being kept on the rock. Also, when it is being touched with the end of the staff fire rose out of the rock and consumed it.

My dear people, end of the staff means the word of God is sharp. That, when our soul is hardened, when he sends his word, when it crushes this soul from there fire is rising out. That fire is accepting the offering (our soul) that we have kept at the feet of the Lord.  In this manner if he accepts us he will give us peace.

Also, we will not die but will live with him forever. Also, he is making our soul as his altar. That altar is an altar to worship God. God is calling that only as Jehovah Shalom. That is there till this day means it is present within us. In this manner, let us submit ourselves so that our soul will be at peace and so that it will not die forever.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
