Galatians 4: 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

For us, the bride, the church the sacrifices of made by fire is our inheritance.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated with patterns that we should not make the parts of our body, the bride, the church as the parts of the body of a harlot. In this manner we must make our parts of the body as those belonging only to God. To make them belong in this manner, all the deeds of the Gentiles within us should be destroyed by the word of God (by Christ) and we should receive victory and live. For such a deed, Christ along with a pattern is using Moses and after him Joshua and he is doing his work.

Next what we are meditating is that Joshua 13: 1 – 5 Now Joshua was old, advanced in years. And the Lord said to him: “You are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed. 

This is the land that yet remains: all the territory of the Philistines and all that of the Geshurites, 

from Sihor, which is east of Egypt, as far as the border of Ekron northward (which is counted as Canaanite); the five lords of the Philistines—the Gazites, the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites; 

from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians as far as Aphek, to the border of the Amorites; 

the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon as far as the entrance to Hamath;

When we meditate upon the facts of the above-mentioned verses, God is telling Joshua that you are old, advanced in years, and there remains very much land yet to be possessed. The reason why God is telling this is that though we know God since many years, we do not change the things that we should change in our soul properly and when we become old we must do the things that we have to do only and finish it and for that God is using Joshua and is showing this as a pattern.

He is telling Joshua that the land that is not possessed Joshua 13: 6 – 8 all the inhabitants of the mountains from Lebanon as far as the Brook Misrephoth, and all the Sidonians—them I will drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you. 

Now therefore, divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh.”

With the other half-tribe the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses had given them, beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord had given them:

The above-mentioned lands he is saying that he will drive out from before the children of Israel; only divide it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you says the Lord. Also, what the Lord is saying is that the half tribe of Manasseh and the Reubenites and the Gadites have already received their inheritance which Moses the servant of the Lord had given them beyond the Jordan eastward.

Also, Joshua in Joshua 13: 9 – 11 from Aroer which is on the bank of the River Arnon, and the town that is in the midst of the ravine, and all the plain of Medeba as far as Dibon; 

all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the children of Ammon; 

Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan as far as Salcah;

All the plains, cities, lands and mountains that have been written all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei, who remained of the remnant of the giants; for Moses had defeated and cast out these. Nevertheless the children of Israel did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maachathites, but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day.

When we meditate upon these facts, those who were not driven away by the Israelites, in our spiritual life do not allow us to grow and they are hiding, and we must know that. That is, many traditional lives are following and catching us. But many people are not able to realize this. The reason is that their spiritual eyes are blind, and we must realize this, and we must know what that is. That is, the worldly worship, enjoyments of the world, few wrong traditional functions in marriages, looking for auspicious days, soothsaying, certain functions after child birth and thinking that these functions are compulsory and thinking they are responsibilities doing things that are against the word of God, still imprinting in our hearts many wrong facts in this manner and submitting the place of Christ to the above-mentioned things and due to these iniquities being stained. Such kind of things are also present among the Israelites, and this is showing this as a pattern. 

But to the tribe of Levi he had given no inheritance; the sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as He said to them. Therefore the tribe of Levi left everything and desired only the sacrifices of God and because they submitted themselves completely for him God gave them the priesthood and dwelt within them and make the people walk in the right way and he is the one that corrects them.

Let us also submit ourselves so that we desire only in the sacrifices of God.
