“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
1 Corinthians 6: 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
The parts of our body, the bride, the church should not be made as the parts of the body of a harlot and we must be careful.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, in our life, the bride, the church to receive quietness of the mind and peace we meditated regarding how we should walk in God. Our inner deeds, by the deeds of righteousness only if they are holy quietness of mind and peace will come to us and that is sure.
Joshua 12: 1 – 3 These are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel defeated, and whose land they possessed on the other side of the Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the River Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern Jordan plain:
One king was Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon and ruled half of Gilead, from Aroer, which is on the bank of the River Arnon, from the middle of that river, even as far as the River Jabbok, which is the border of the Ammonites,
and the eastern Jordan plain from the Sea of Chinneroth as far as the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea), the road to Beth Jeshimoth, and southward below the slopes of Pisgah.
What is written in the above-mentioned verses is that the children of Israel defeated the kings whose land they possessed on the other side of the Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the River Arnon to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern Jordan plain. After defeating them in this manner, they possessed their lands. Among those kings, one king was Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon and ruled half of Gilead, from Aroer, which is on the bank of the River Arnon, from the middle of that river, even as far as the River Jabbok, which is the border of the Ammonites, and the eastern Jordan plain from the Sea of Chinneroth as far as the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea), the road to Beth Jeshimoth, and southward below the slopes of Pisgah.
Also, Joshua 12: 4, 5 The other king was Og king of Bashan and his territory, who was of the remnant of the giants, who dwelt at Ashtaroth and at Edrei,
and reigned over Mount Hermon, over Salcah, over all Bashan, as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maachathites, and over half of Gilead to the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.
He reigned the land written in the above-mentioned verses. These Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel had conquered; and Moses the servant of the Lord had given it as a possession to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh.
My dear people, in the previous portion what was written that they possessed the land on the other side of Jordan is written as when we receive a covenant with God by baptism signifies crossing and coming across Jordan. When we cross and come in this manner, Christ’s characters, deeds and walks and all good deeds should be there in all the parts of our body. For this only, our Lord Jesus Christ, got down into Jordan and received baptism and showed us clearly regarding reaching the other shore. When we do in this manner and rise up from the shore, the heaven is opened; and a voice came saying “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
The meaning of this is that we should also receive baptism in this manner and die along with him and we are being united in the image of resurrection and he is showing us this. In this manner we are possessing the kingdom of God and for this only God is using Joshua and the children of Israel and is showing the land that is being possessed. Also, making our whole land as his own means that all our parts of the body God is making his own and this shows that.
Regarding this, 1 Corinthians 6: 13 – 19 Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power.
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!
Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
The above-mentioned verses are that our body which is saved belongs to God, it is not meant for harlotry. Therefore, as a pattern for this God is telling the things regarding defeating the kings of the Gentiles. Whom those kings are is that Joshua 12: 9 – 24 the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one;
the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;
the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;
the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;
the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;
the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one;
the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one;
the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one;
the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one;
the king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;
the king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one;
the king of Shimron Meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;
the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;
the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one;
the king of Dor in the heights of Dor, one; the king of the people of Gilgal, one;
the king of Tirzah, one—all the kings, thirty-one.
In the above-mentioned words, thirty-one kings are being defeated. Therefore my dear people, we should not make the parts of our body as the parts of the body of a harlot and the deeds of the Gentiles should not work in us and let us submit ourselves to safeguard ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
