Mark 12: 29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah 

We, the bride, the church should submit our whole soul only to God.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that within us, the bride, the church we must not give place to the spirit of harlotry, but we must safeguard ourselves by the spirit of Christ. That is, Rahab, the harlot because the spies went to her house, she hides them there and safeguards them and we meditated regarding this. That is, because she has faith in God she did in this manner, and we are able to understand that. But she is a harlot means within her she will not have deeds according to God’s true words. Regarding this, in the Bible there are many places where it has a place.

Spirit of harlotry means the deeds of the dragon will be there. He will pull the soul into many kinds of lusts and infatuations. Those who get stuck in them will go into the path of death. Regarding this, Proverbs 7: 10 – 27 And there a woman met him, with the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.

She was loud and rebellious, her feet would not stay at home.

At times she was outside, at times in the open square, lurking at every corner.

So she caught him and kissed him; with an impudent face she said to him:

“I have peace offerings with me; Today I have paid my vows.

So I came out to meet you, diligently to seek your face, and I have found you.

I have spread my bed with tapestry, colored coverings of Egyptian linen.

I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

Come, let us take our fill of love until morning; let us delight ourselves with love.

For my husband is not at home; He has gone on a long journey;

He has taken a bag of money with him, and will come home on the appointed day.”

With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with her flattering lips she seduced him.

Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks,

Till an arrow struck his liver. As a bird hastens to the snare, he did not know it would cost his life.

Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth:

Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways, Do not stray into her paths;

For she has cast down many wounded, and all who were slain by her were strong men.

Her house is the way to hell, descending to the chambers of death.

We must meditate upon the above-mentioned verses and safeguard our soul so that we do not get stuck with her.

Next, what we will meditate upon is Joshua 2: 14 – 24 So the men answered her, “Our lives for yours, if none of you tell this business of ours. And it shall be, when the Lord has given us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.”

Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the city wall; she dwelt on the wall. 

And she said to them, “Get to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you. Hide there three days, until the pursuers have returned. Afterward you may go your way.”

So the men said to her: “We will be blameless of this oath of yours which you have made us swear, 

unless, when we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household to your own home. 

So it shall be that whoever goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood shall be on his own head, and we will be guiltless. And whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head if a hand is laid on him. 

And if you tell this business of ours, then we will be free from your oath which you made us swear.”

Then she said, “According to your words, so be it.” And she sent them away, and they departed. And she bound the scarlet cord in the window.

They departed and went to the mountain and stayed there three days until the pursuers returned. The pursuers sought them all along the way but did not find them. 

So the two men returned, descended from the mountain, and crossed over; and they came to Joshua the son of Nun, and told him all that had befallen them. 

And they said to Joshua, “Truly the Lord has delivered all the land into our hands, for indeed all the inhabitants of the country are fainthearted because of us.”

In the above-mentioned verses, when that woman asked that she and her family should be safe guarded to those spies, they gave a promise that when the Lord gives us the land, we will deal kindly and truly with you. Then she let them down by a rope through the window, for her house was on the city wall; she dwelt on the wall. And she said to them, get to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you. Hide there three days, until the pursuers have returned. Afterward you may go your way.

So the men said to her: “We will be blameless of this oath of yours which you have made us swear, unless, when we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father’s household to your own home. Also, they said in Joshua 2: 19, 20 So it shall be that whoever goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood shall be on his own head, and we will be guiltless. And whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head if a hand is laid on him. 

And if you tell this business of ours, then we will be free from your oath which you made us swear.”

When they said the above-mentioned verses, she said, “According to your words, so be it.” And she sent them away, and later just like they told she bound the scarlet cord in the window.

My dear people, God is showing these as a pattern. It is written as line of scarlet cord. It shows the sign that this is the house of the harlot. Also, it should be noted that she is making her family to enter into her house by that scarlet cord. Therefore, many people are using scarlet cord in their lives knowingly or unknowingly. Also, it is written that Babylon the harlot climbed and sat on a beast that was scarlet in colour. Also, Revelation 17: 1 – 5 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, 

with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”

So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 

The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. 

And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

When we meditate upon the verses that are told we must realize that scarlet colour are the deeds of Babylon, the harlot. But our Lord Jesus Christ is seen as wearing white garment. Also, Tamar had twins in her womb by her father-in-law Judah. When it was time for her to give birth, Genesis 38: 28 – 30 And so it was, when she was giving birth, that the one put out his hand; and the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it on his hand, saying, “This one came out first.” 

Then it happened, as he drew back his hand, that his brother came out unexpectedly; and she said, “How did you break through? This breach be upon you!” Therefore his name was called Perez.

Afterward his brother came out who had the scarlet thread on his hand. And his name was called Zerah.

In the above-mentioned verses, in the hand of the one that put out his hand first, the midwife took a scarlet thread and bound it. Then he drew back his hand and came out as second. His name was Zerah. From this we come to know that coming in the wrong experience is shown as a sign by the scarlet cord.

Therefore my dear people, we must be very careful. But the people of Jericho could not find the spies whom Joshua had sent. So the two men returned, descended from the mountain, and crossed over; and they came to Joshua and told him all that had befallen them. And they said to Joshua, “Truly the Lord has delivered all the land into our hands, for indeed all the inhabitants of the country are fainthearted because of us.”

My dear people, what this is showing as a pattern is that all the deeds of our whole soul should be belonging to God. Here after no king of any city, that is any giants should not be given a place in our soul and all the other evil deeds should be burned with the word of God, which is the fire and completely we must belong to Christ. Let us submit in this manner.
