“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

2 Peter 2: 20

For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should not backslide and safeguard ourselves carefully.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should become the Lord’s first fruits.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Chronicles 5: 21 - 23 Then they took away their livestock—fifty thousand of their camels, two hundred and fifty thousand of their sheep, and two thousand of their donkeys—also one hundred thousand of their men;

for many fell dead, because the war was God’s. And they dwelt in their place until the captivity.

So the children of the half-tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land. Their numbers increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, that is, to Senir, or Mount Hermon.

In the above-mentioned verses, those who put their trust on the Lord their request was heard by the Lord. That is, the sons of Reuben, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh had forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty valiant men, who could go to war. Then they took away their livestock—fifty thousand of their camels, two hundred and fifty thousand of their sheep, and two thousand of their donkeys—also one hundred thousand of their men; for many fell dead, because the war was God’s. And they dwelt in their place until the captivity. So the children of the half-tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land. Their numbers increased from Bashan to Baal Hermon, that is, to Senir, or Mount Hermon. These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: in 1 Chronicles 5: 24 These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azriel, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdiel. They were mighty men of valor, famous men, and heads of their fathers’ houses.

The above-mentioned people were mighty men of valor, famous men, and heads of their fathers’ houses. And they were unfaithful to the God of their fathers and played the harlot after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them. So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, that is, Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria. He carried the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh into captivity. He took them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan to this day.

My dear people, in the above-mentioned verses if we will keep our trust on the Lord then the Lord will hear our request and will fight for us against our enemies and be victorious and will make us dwell in our land. (He will safeguard us so that we do not go walk away from the Lord.) In this manner, if we will hold on to the Lord then the people of the Lord will be increasing in all places. But if we will be unfaithful to the Lord and if we will do again the deeds that the Lord has removed from us then in our soul, he will make the spirit of the king of Assyria to arise and so our soul is being made captive and taken. That is, our soul will be made captive to the worldly decorations. In this manner, many many thoughts will attract the soul and will make us go far away from the Lord. In this manner, the anger of the Lord will follow us. Therefore, we must not be unfaithful to the Lord in any manner and submit ourselves to live carefully.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
