“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Luke 22: 29, 30 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me,

that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hallelujah

Partaking in food and drink - as a pattern

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, yesterday we meditated on what food is and regarding our Lord Jesus Christ partaking food with us and that the deeds of that food is harvesting the soul and in that harvest - the good wheat which is our soul, which is the fruit of eternal life which our Lord Jesus Christ gathers in the threshing floor and we saw regarding the chaff which will be burnt with unquenchable fire.

Chaff means the world, flesh and devil's deeds. The devil sows these in us. Because of that the wheat grains become chaff. Matthew 3: 12  His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable  fire.”

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters that is why if every Christian is not a good wheat grain and if we are like chaff God will give us a pain due to burning and melting in the fire. That is why in Matthew 3: 10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Ax means it is God's word. This is showing judgement. This judgement is taking place in God's house. Who is God's house? When we accept Jesus as our personal saviour and die to sin and in order to live to righteousness we take baptism, from that day we must all think that we are God's house. From that day if we will give place to the tares of the devil judgement will start. From then, every day we must listen to God's true word, meditate, read, pray, do God's righteousness and if we will protect ourselves from injustice God will love us and have mercy on us and protect us from burning in the judgement fire. He will definitely give us the fruit of eternal life.

That is why in 1 Peter 4: 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”

Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

From this what we understand is that, our whole soul should be filled with God's word and we must obey all his commandments, laws and judgements and we must submit ourselves fully to the true Creator our Lord Jesus Christ.

We must not give place to the spirit of the world in our soul. But we must analyze everything by the spirit of God  Then only we can receive the fruit of eternal life.

That is why in Galatians 6: 7 - 10 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

From this what we understand is that, we must always obey God's voice (Word of God) and we must sow to the Spirit. Only if we live our whole life as a spiritual life, then the sower and the reaper  both can rejoice together, reaper will get his reward and will gather the fruit of eternal life.

That is what God shows us by showing Joseph and his life as a pattern. Christ's food will bring many unto him. After gathering them he will rejoice in us. That is why in 1 Thessalonians 5: 16 - 18  Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Therefore, my dear people of God, Christ will always rejoice in us, and should pray without ceasing  and give thanks in everything. So we must walk in truth according to the spirit of God.

When Joseph and his brothers were having food, Joseph took servings from before him, but he gave Benjamin five times more than any of them. After they had food, we see that they all drank. In this manner, it is written that they had food and drink and were merry among themselves. In this manner, we see that the father's of the twelve tribes of Israel had food and drink. This is God showing us a pattern.

The eleven children of Jacob who came to buy grain are sent back to their land by Joseph by telling the steward of his house. When he sends them, he commanded to fill their sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man’s money in the mouth of his sack.

Genesis 44: 2 Also put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, and his grain money.” So he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.

So he did all these things by telling the steward and as soon as the morning dawned, the men were sent away, they and their donkeys. When they had gone out of the city, and were not yet far off, Joseph said to his steward, “Get up, follow the men; and when you overtake them, say to them, ‘Why have you repaid evil for good?  Is not this the one from which my lord drinks, and with which he indeed practices divination? You have done evil in so doing.’ ” So he spoke to them these same words.

As soon as they heard these words they said to him, “Far be it from us that your servants should do such a thing. Look, we brought back the money which we found in the mouth of our sacks. How then could we steal silver or gold from your lord’s house? With whomever of your servants it is found, let him die, and we also will be my lord’s slaves.”

And he said, “Now also let it be according to your words; he with whom it is found shall be my slave, and you shall be blameless.”

Genesis 44: 11, 12  Then each man speedily let down his sack to the ground, and each opened his sack.

So he searched. He began with the oldest and left off with the youngest; and the cup was found in Benjamin’s sack.

Our  Lord God is showing these things as a pattern through Joseph. Because God tests the children he loves a lot. He checks how much truth is there in our souls, patience, carefulness, obedience - he analyzes everything well. The reason Benjamin gets five times more food shows that the children he loves he gives more grace. The silver cup used to drink is God wants to make us his butler and to reveal himself to Israel God is showing us these things as a pattern. If we are truthful in this manner, we can serve God as a true Israelite.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all.
