“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Zechariah 10: 6  “I will strengthen the house of Judah, And I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, Because I have mercy on them. They shall be as though I had not cast them aside; For I am the Lord their God, And I will hear them.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hallelujah

The Lord is the God that does what he thinks in our soul

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, yesterday we meditated on few things regarding how our soul should be protected in holiness. If our soul is holy our body and spirit can also be protected in holiness. And God will always be with us. That is what we are able to see in Joseph's life that God tests him, knows him and lifts him up.

Genesis 39: 23 The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.

Psalms 1: 1 - 3 Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Then in front of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt his chief butler and the chief baker offended their lord, and due to this the king was angry and  he put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard, in the prison, the place where Joseph was confined.

And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them; so they were in custody for a while.

We have to think one thing that once our soul is redeemed by God how should we protect it.

Here we see that the chief butler, chief baker and Joseph are in the prison. Then the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, had a dream, both of them, each man’s dream in one night and each man’s dream with its own interpretation.

And Joseph came in to them in the morning and looked at them, and saw that they were sad.

So Joseph asked both of them “Why do you look so sad today?”  And they said to him, “We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.”

So Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.”

Then the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, “Behold, in my dream a vine was before me, and in the vine were three branches; it was as though it budded, its blossoms shot forth, and its clusters brought forth ripe grapes.

Then Pharaoh’s cup was in his hand; and he took the grapes and pressed them into Pharaoh’s cup, and he said that he saw in his dream that he placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.”

The interpretation that Joseph said for that is - Genesis 40: 12, 13 And Joseph said to him, “This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days.

Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler.

This matter shows the deeds of our soul. In our life, if the deeds of Egypt are present in us the authority of our body is Pharaoh. Our heart is the cup of Pharaoh. But the vine that was before him is our Lord Jesus Christ. The three branches are that within three days he will build God's temple in our hearts. God is explaining to us that the cup is in the hand of Pharaoh. This dream was seen by the butler of that place when Joseph was in the prison of Egypt. The interpretation of this as told by Joseph is that these things are going to take place in the days of Joseph when the Israelites will be under the bondage of Pharaoh and God will use his servants - Moses and Aaron and redeem the cups - the Israelites who were under bondage in the hands of Pharaoh and in the last days in the twelve tribes of Israel through his Son through the new covenant of the blood in three days the body of Christ, which is the Church will be built and raised up. This is shown as a pattern.

But Joseph told the interpretation of the dream and tells the butler But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house. He tells him that for indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.”

When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he tells regarding the dream he saw.

There were three white baskets on his head. In the uppermost basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh, and the birds ate them out of the basket on my head.”

Genesis 40: 18, 19 So Joseph answered and said, “This is the interpretation of it: The three baskets are three days.

Within three days Pharaoh will lift off your head from you and hang you on a tree; and the birds will eat your flesh from you.”

The reason for this is that the baskets on his head shows that he thinks he is great and in our spiritual life we should not have fleshly deeds, and that the mind of the flesh is death and that our heart should not be lifted but we should humble ourselves but God is showing that the bakers baskets is on his head. Fleshly thoughts is enemity against God and people like that will be destroyed like how God destroyed the armies of Pharaoh. And we must realize that he will hand us over in the hands of Pharaoh.

Ezekiel 31: 10, 11  “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Because you have increased in height, and it set its top among the thick boughs, and its heart was lifted up in its height,

therefore I will deliver it into the hand of the mighty one of the nations, and he shall surely deal with it; I have driven it out for its wickedness.

After Joseph had told the interpretation of the dreams Genesis 40: 20 Now it came to pass on the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast for all his servants; and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

Genesis 40: 21 - 23 Then he restored the chief butler to his butlership again, and he placed the cup in Pharaoh’s hand.

But he hanged the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to them.

Yet the chief butler did not remember Joseph, but forgot him. But in Joseph's life, this dream shows us that God is going to lift him up in Egypt.

Not only that, when we live in Egypt under bondage, it shows us regarding three things about our spiritual life. Firstly we must do ministry for God, secondly we must build the walls which have been broken and if these two are not there it shows that our soul has fallen down.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, those who are reading and meditating on this, let us come forward in our lives, and choose the spiritual life which is budding and do the work that is acceptable and pleasing to God.

May the Lord bless you all. Let us pray.
