Speaking prophecies –Part 2

My dearly beloved, therefore we should analyze the prophecies very carefully. We must not despise any prophecies. There are prophecies that God speaks to us.

Proverbs 29: 18 - Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

If we do say the prophecy and if we hear the prophecy and do not obey it, then God punishes us.

Amos 2: 11 – 16 says - I raised up some of your sons as prophets,

And some of your young men as Nazirites. Is it not so, O you children of Israel?” Says the Lord.

“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, And commanded the prophets saying, ‘Do not prophesy!’

“Behold, I am weighed down by you, As a cart full of sheaves is weighed down.

Therefore, flight shall perish from the swift, the strong shall not strengthen his power, Nor shall the mighty deliver himself;

He shall not stand who handles the bow, The swift of foot shall not escape, Nor shall he who rides a horse deliver himself.

The most courageous men of might Shall flee naked in that day,” Says the Lord.

Many people do not allow God’s word to be told as prophecy and cause profanity among the people. They speak against the Holy Spirit and do not allow prophecies. God is punishing such people by the verses mentioned in Amos 2: 11 – 16.

2 Peter 2: 1- 9 says - But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;

and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;

and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked

(for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—

then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

My dearly beloved, please read the verses mentioned above well and meditate about it deeply, and realize who the false prophets are, receive the truthful words from God and protect ourselves daily. If we do this, God is able to deliver us from evil and save us every day.

Deuteronomy 13: 1 – 4 says - “If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder,

and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’

you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.

In Isaiah 29: 8 – 12, God says - It shall even be as when a hungry man dreams, And look—he eats; But he awakes, and his soul is still empty; Or as when a thirsty man dreams, And look—he drinks; But he awakes, and indeed he is faint, And his soul still craves: So the multitude of all the nations shall be, Who fight against Mount Zion.”

Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with intoxicating drink.

For the Lord has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, And has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, namely, the seers.

The whole vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is literate, saying, “Read this, please.” And he says, “I cannot, for it is sealed.”

Then the book is delivered to one who is illiterate, saying, “Read this, please.” And he says, “I am not literate.”

The above verses happen to those mentioned in Isaiah 29:13 - Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men.

In 2 Peter 1: 20, 21 - knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,

for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, my dearly beloved, never despise prophecies. We see the different kinds of prophecies in the Word of God. Therefore, when we listen to prophecies, we must realize that they are words which are spoken by the Holy Spirit and may God give us the grace to walk according to it.

Therefore, do not despise prophecies. Abstain from every form of evil.

Test all things; hold fast what is good.

May the Lord bless you all through these words. May we be made holy daily by the word of God, by prayer, by grace and God’s power. May the Lord bless you all and keep you in peace. Amen.

Hallelujah.
