“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 78: 67, 68, 69  Moreover He rejected the tent of Joseph, And did not choose the tribe of Ephraim,

But chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which He loved.

And He built His sanctuary like the heights, Like the earth which He has established forever.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hallelujah

The Slaying of the Lamb - as a pattern

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, yesterday we meditated on few thoughts that wickedness should not enter the church. The wicked will hate the righteous.

Joseph's brother heard his brothers making plans against him in Genesis 37: 21 But Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands, and said, “Let us not kill him.”

And Reuben said to them, “Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit, and do not lay a hand on him” so that he can deliver him from their hands in this manner.

So they stripped him of the tunic of many colors that he was wearing and they took him and cast him into a pit where there was no water. And the pit was empty;

And they sat down to eat a meal. Then they lifted their eyes and looked, and there was a company of Ishmaelites, coming from Gilead with their camels, bearing spices, balm, and myrrh, on their way to carry them down to Egypt.

 So one of the brother Judah said to his brothers, “What profit is there if we kill our brother and conceal his blood? Come and let us sell him to the Ishmaelites, and let not our hand be upon him, for he is our brother and our flesh.” And his brothers listened.

So they listened to what was told and when the Midianite traders passed by; the brothers pulled Joseph up and lifted him out of the pit, and sold him to the Ishmaelites for twenty shekels of silver. And they took Joseph to Egypt.

Then Reuben returned to the pit, and indeed Joseph was not in the pit; and he tore his clothes. And he returned to his brothers and said, “The lad is no more; and I, where shall I go?”

Genesis 37: 32 Then they sent the tunic of many colors, and they brought it to their father and said, “We have found this. Do you know whether it is your son’s tunic or not?”

Jacob recognized it and said, “It is my son’s tunic. A wild beast has devoured him. Without doubt Joseph is torn to pieces.” Then Jacob tore his clothes, put sackcloth on his waist, and mourned for his son many days.

 Now the Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard.

Our Lord God is showing us as a pattern through Joseph that God wanted the Israel church to be delivered from the wicked life and be in fellowship with God. So he chose Joseph with visions from a young age and led him, was hated by his brothers, sold to Egypt and is taken there. Because he was taken to Egypt the officer of Pharoah and captain of guard who was Potiphar, an Egyptian buys him from the Ishmaelites who brought him there.

Genesis 39: 2 - 5 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.

So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority.

So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field.

God predestined Joseph as a pattern and sent him to Egypt to save lives. Though he was rejected by his brothers he was sent to Egypt to preserve lives for his father and brothers.

They dipped the tunic of Joseph in the blood of a kid of the goats. This is because the Son Jesus Christ is being sacrificed as a lamb for us. Revelation 19: 13  He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Now in the twelve tribes those who were sealed were those who had washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. So for the twelve tribes of Israel they have redemption only by Christ blood is shown to us by God through Joseph as a preserver of lives by taking Joseph to Egypt as a pattern. So we realize that this is not regarding worldly customs.

In this manner, through the blood of the Lamb only those who are washed and made white - Revelation 7: 15 - 17  Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.

They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;

for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

In this manner, God is blessing all.

Let us pray.
