“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Isaiah 43: 1 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hallelujah

Turning of Jacob's captivity

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the Bible verses that we meditated upon yesterday we see that there are two types of generation appearing in the churches. That is what God is showing through Jacob as a pattern. But according to the promise of God, there will be one generation. That generation is Christ. That is what God is showing us when God tells Abraham it will be manifested in Isaac and the seeds that Isaac sowed helped him to reap hundredfold. God showed the children of Isaac - Esau and Jacob as a pattern of flesh and spirit. We see that through the weeds that the enemy put in Jacob fleshly generation is formed. Those who are anointed by God a spiritual generation will be formed. God also shows Esau as Edom and the yoke that is kept on him will be broken by Esau in the days to come and we come to know that only one generation through Christ will be established in all the world and he will make souls to multiply and increase.

The last son of Jacob - Benjamin is given birth by Rachel when -

Genesis 35: 9, 10 Then God appeared to Jacob again, when he came from Padan Aram, and blessed him.

And God said to him, “Your name is Jacob; your name shall not be called Jacob anymore, but Israel shall be your name.” So He called his name Israel.

This thing happened when in Genesis 35: 1 - 4 Then God said to Jacob, “Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there; and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.”

And Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, “Put away the foreign gods that are among you, purify yourselves, and change your garments.

Then let us arise and go up to Bethel; and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me in the way which I have gone.”

So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods which were in their hands, and the earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the terebinth tree which was by Shechem.

And they journeyed. After that, after they had buried everything only God named Jacob as Israel and called him.

From this we understand that if we have to be Israel before God, we must bury all the sinful customs and traditions and all the images only then the one generation - Christ can be mainfested in our soul. Then only we will be called as Israel.

We see that Jacob is being sent to Laban's house by his mother Rebekah. On the way God is appearing to him. But when he sees Rachel and when he went into Laban's house then itself he becomes a captive to flesh. If such fleshly thoughts come into us, we need a salvation. Our Lord Jesus Christ came to redeem Jacob.

That is why in Isaiah 41: 8 - 14 “But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend.

You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away:

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

“Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish.

You shall seek them and not find them— Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing.

For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’

“Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you,” says the Lord And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

God is redeeming Jacob who was held captive in Laban's house. In the same manner, God is redeeming us by the blood of his son Jesus Christ. Then all the ways we walked, sinful customs and traditions, fleshly deeds, worldly traditions, pride of life and all the other things which God does not like will be removed from us. Even if we search for it we will not find it. That is what is written in the previous Bible words.

In Genesis 31: 11 Then the Angel of God spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Jacob.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’

And He said, ‘Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and gray-spotted; for I have seen all that Laban is doing to you.

I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar and where you made a vow to Me. Now arise, get out of this land, and return to the land of your family.’ ”

We will meditate on the rest tomorrow.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all.
