Explanation about The Holy Ministry - as a pattern
(Doing the Glorious Ministry)
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated yesterday we meditated about what is Jacob's generation. Jacob - the church is a pattern of the one generation which is Christ. Before Isaac blessed Jacob he said “Come near now and kiss me, my son.”And he came near and kissed him; and when he kissed him he smelled the smell that God blesses which was the smell of the field and Jacob's father blessed him.
If we will fear God, then he will bless us.
Isaiah 11: 3 His delight is in the fear of the Lord
Also in Psalms 2: 11, 12 Serve the Lord with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, When His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
It is written in God's word that we must kiss the Son. It is also written that if we do not kiss him, the Son will be angry. God shows us through Jacob as a pattern that The Son is the church. What he means by we have to kiss him is that the church - the brothers among themselves and sisters among themselves should kiss among themselves as a practice in the church. If we kiss in this manner, God will bless us. If we do not we will be destroyed in this race of faith. We must protect ourselves from perishing in the way.
What God means by kissing the Son is that he means that the brothers in the church should be in love among themselves.
I John 4 : 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
We can see that is what is written in the epistles to the churches.
I Thessalonians 5: 26, 27 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read to all the holy brethren.
Therefore our kiss should not be a kiss of deception. Everyone should be filled with God's love and show brotherly love.
Also, Judas Iscariot kissed Jesus with deception in his heart. His life ended in a pitiful manner. If we show true love to Christ we will follow all his commandments. God will bless us.
In the Bible, the younger son took all his possessions from his Father journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.
But when he had spent all, he decided to come back to his Father Luke 15: 18 - 24 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,
and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’
“And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
And bring the fattned calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.
The reason why our Lord Jesus Christ said this is because if any one leaves the church and from the blessing that they received from God thinks of living in a worldly manner, back slides from the truth and joins in a church where there is no truth, and there do not receive the food for their soul and have no rest in their soul and if they leave it all and think of returning to the Father and they come to the Father our God and realize the mistakes they have done and ask for forgiveness, humble themselves and submit themselves our God will hug us and accept us back. The brothers in church should also hug the brothers who have back slidden and show God's love. This shows us that no one should be with vengenance or hatred.
That is why, God says in Revelation 21 : 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son
Also in Jeremiah 3: 1 “They say, ‘If a man divorces his wife, And she goes from him And becomes another man’s, May he return to her again?’ Would not that land be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot with many lovers; Yet return to Me,” says the Lord.
When we read these verses, what do we understand. Our Lord God will accept us always. But if we backslide and come back to God we do not have full freedom with our Father. This God shows us from the matter about the older son.
When he saw the younger son come, he was glad and the Father told his servants Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.
Luke 15: 23 And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.When the older son came from the field and saw everyone merry he asked what these things meant and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.
Luke 15: 30 - 32 But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.
It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”
From this what we understand is that, for those who do not disobey God's commandments and those who are always stand faithful in God's church we can understand that God gives them all his possessions.
In the same manner, whatever problems may come we must never be separated from God's love.
