“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Deuteronomy 30: 19, 20 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hallelujah

Explanation - Jacob's Generation

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, what is told as Jacob's generation shows God's church. That generation of Jacob shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

The pattern regarding the blessing of Jacob is that when he cooked and brought Isaac said, “Bring it near to me, and he took it and ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank.

Then Isaac thinking that he was his son Esau told Jacob to “Come near now and kiss me.

Genesis 27: 27 - 29 And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said: “Surely, the smell of my son Is like the smell of a field Which the Lord has blessed.

Therefore may God give you Of the dew of heaven, Of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of grain and wine.

Let peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you. Be master over your brethren, And let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!”

In this manner, Isaac blesses Jacob. After he finishes blessing him and Jacob had scarcely gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. He also had made savory food, and brought it to his father, and said to his father, “Let my father arise and eat of his son’s game, that your soul may bless me.”

Genesis 27: 32 And his father Isaac said to him, “Who are you?” So he said, “I am your son, your firstborn, Esau.”

Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said, “Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him—and indeed he shall be blessed.”

When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father, “Bless me—me also, O my father!”

But he said, “Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing.”

And Esau said, For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright, and now look, he has taken away my blessing!” And he said, “Have you not reserved a blessing for me?”

Then Isaac answered and said to Esau, “Indeed I have made him your master, and all his brethren I have given to him as servants; with grain and wine I have sustained him. What shall I do now for you, my son?”

And Esau said to his father, “Have you only one blessing, my father? Bless me—me also, O my father!” And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.

Genesis 27: 39, 40  Then Isaac his father answered and said to him:“Behold, your dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth, And of the dew of heaven from above.

By your sword you shall live, And you shall serve your brother; And it shall come to pass, when you become restless, That you shall break his yoke from your neck.”

So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him, and Esau said in his heart, “The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will kill my brother Jacob.”

From this what we understand is that, we must overtake to receive the blessing from God in the right time. God is showing us this through Jacob as a pattern. We can possess the blessing only through Christ - the bride the church. The generation of Jacob is the bride the church and it is showing us that we also should become the bride. Also our souls should be savoury food before God. In all our deeds all the good deeds of the Lamb should be filled in us. If we live in that manner, God will bless the church with grain and wine. Only if we abide in Christ's teachings in this manner, God can be the bride the church within us. God is showing us that he will fill us with grace and glory by using Isaac and Jacob as a pattern. If we remain filled with grain through our witness God will use us to save many souls. God is showing us that through that in the countries churches will continue to increase. Then God is showing that many people will come worship and serve the Lord as a pattern through Jacob. God is blessing Israel in the church only. He is also showing us that blessing and curse is also present only in the church.

This is because Isaac tells  Jacob Cursed be everyone who curses you, And blessed be those who bless you!” because if we hear God's voice and obey it God blesses us. Those who do not obey God's words are cursed by God.

That is why, in Deuteronomy 27: 16 Cursed is the one who treats his father or his mother with contempt.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’

This is because Deuteronomy 27: 10 - 15 Therefore you shall obey the voice of the Lord your God, and observe His commandments and His statutes which I command you today.”

And Moses commanded the people on the same day, saying,

“These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have crossed over the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin;

and these shall stand on Mount Ebal to curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.

“And the Levites shall speak with a loud voice and say to all the men of Israel:

‘Cursed is the one who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ “And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen!’

My dear people of God, who are reading this we must think. What kind of life should we have for God to bless us? Whom is God cursing? Who blesses God (church)? (Those who obey) Who curses God (church)? (Those who do not obey)

In Proverbs 30: 11 There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother.

This is because Jacob receives the name of Israel. The person responsible for this is his mother who gave birth to him. The blessing that Jacob received happens through his mother. Also she took the choice clothes of Esau which had the smell of a field and put them on Jacob and so he was able to receive the blessing from above. In the same way, God is looking at our clothing as well for the smell of working for God. God will smell us.  And to show that we have to kiss the Son, who is Our Christ he is showing the kiss there as a pattern. To kiss Christ the church has to be in one mind. We will see the explanation about the kiss tomorrow.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all.
